In their place is a battery disconnect switch on the case: turn it off and the whole vehicle circuit is isolated, for storage, transport or trackside work. Is a lithium starting battery safe in my car?
Yes. MegaLiFe uses LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate), the most thermally stable lithium chemistry. Each pack is sealed, shock- and waterproof, and protected by an integrated battery management system that guards against over-charge, over-discharge and overheating.
Do I need a special charger?
Your vehicle's alternator charges a MegaLiFe normally. For bench charging use a lithium-compatible charger. We recommend our ML-BC14 series, sized 2A for motorcycles, 6A for small packs and 10A for vehicle batteries.
What happens if I leave the lights on?
Press the emergency start button on the case. A sealed reserve cell provides one full crank so you can drive home and recharge. It is a feature every MegaLiFe carries as standard.
Will it fit my vehicle without modification?
MegaLiFe cases are built to BCI group and JIS dimensions, so they drop into the factory tray with the factory hold-down. Check the group size on your current battery and match it on the product page.
